Santa Fe National Cemetery to Host Memorial Day Ceremony

SANTA FE – The Santa Fe National Cemetery will host its annual Memorial Day Ceremony at 10 a.m. on May 29.  The cemetery is located at 501 N. Guadalupe Street in Santa Fe.

  The ceremony will include a parade of veteran service organization flags by the American Legion Riders, opening remarks by Susan Parks, Santa Fe National Cemetery Director, a firing of volleys, bagpipe music and a wreath laying.  Keynote speaker will be Alan Martinez, Deputy Secretary, New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services.

  Following the ceremony, the public is invited to walk about the 80-acre cemetery, which serves as a final resting place for more than 58,000 military veterans and their loved ones.  For more information, please contact the Santa Fe National Cemetery at (505) 988-6400.
