October 24, 2017

Print Version (MS Word)

ALBUQUERQUE – The public is invited to attend an Open House on Nov. 1 at the Raymond G. Murphy VA Medical Center, located at 1501 San Pedro Dr. SE. in Albuquerque.

The outdoor “Open House for Veterans” will begin at 11 a.m. in the Canteen Courtyard of the medical center campus, ending at 1 p.m.   The goal of this event, which is happening that day at VA facilities across the United States, is to raise awareness of the wide range of services offered to veterans by the Veterans Health Administration (VHA), Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), and National Cemetery Administration (NCA).

Visitors at the Open House will be able to visit information tables with representatives from many different VA programs, including Health Promotion Disease Prevention, Veteran Education, My HealtheVet, Veterans Mental Health Advocacy Council, the Transition and Care Management Clinic, as well as programs of the New Mexico Department of Veterans’ Services.

Free refreshments will be offered, courtesy of the Veterans Canteen Service.
