Public Reporting of Concerns or Complaints about Patient Care and Safety
If you, your family, or visitors have concerns or complaints regarding patient care or safety, we want to hear from you. We want to take care of any problem as it happens. Our Patient Safety Manager is located on the 4th floor of Bldg. 41, Room 4B151. Our Acting Patient Safety Manager is Darlene Brandeberry. Phone: (505) 265-1711, ext. 4790.
If you have tried this and the problem has not been taken care of, you may ask to speak to the Service Level Patient Advocate for that area.
NMVAHCS Patient Advocate Program: If your concerns are more difficult and require work between two or more services, please contact one of the facility level Patient Advocates.

The Joint Commission
If you have a safety or quality of care concern which has been unresolved through hospital management, employees and patients have the right to contact The Joint Commission by dialing 1-800-994-6610 or email email@example.com. Disciplinary action may not be taken against any employee or patient who reports a safety or quality concern to The Joint Commission.
