Why Albuquerque?

Founded in 1706, Albuquerque is New Mexico’s largest city with a population of 800,000.  The climate is pleasant year-round with low humidity and moderate temperatures.  Nestled at the base of the ten thousand-foot Sandia Mountains, Albuquerque is the home of the world’s longest aerial tramway.  Known as the hot air balloon capital of the world, the city hosts the International Hot Air Balloon Fiesta every October.  New Mexico offers 10 developed ski areas within comfortable driving distance from Albuquerque.  Albuquerque is home to museums, a ballet company and a symphony orchestra.  With a unique blend of Indian, Hispanic and Anglo cultures, the area offers many unusual cultural events and historic sites.  New Mexico also has many natural resources including national forests, streams, lakes, hunting, camping, and fishing.  So come and live in the “land of enchantment” and enjoy what it has to offer.
